Endorsement on Communication from Peter Ulrick Citizen, Daleville Miss, who requests permission from the Bureau to teach freedmen. States that unless protected by the Bureau the people will stop him from teaching, also asks for a house to teach in.

Respectfully returned to Capt J. W. Sunderland V.R.C. with the information that without the consent of the Superintendent of the Orphan Asylum, the troops cannot occupy the part requested. Thus inasmuch, as the building as been turned over to the Society, who now have charge of the Orphan Asylum.
