Respectfully returned to Capt. J. W. Sunderland. A.A.A. Genl. Bu. R.F. & A.L. with the information that these papers had been twice presented for payment. 
In January 1867, these were forwarded to Capt. J. W. Sunderland, U.S.A. D.O. but that officer took no action on them, and again on the 8th of July forwarded them to Bvt. Lt Col L. H. Pierce U.S.A. D.O. who returned them with the following endorsement.
"Office Chief Q.M. 4th Mil Dist &c.
Vicksburg, Miss. July 11th 1867.
Respectfully returned to Lieut Moore with the information that items of charge should be included in the account for the quarter in which they occurred  All of which is respectfully submitted
