County in this Division. I have examined every case that has been founded or reported to me and have reported the same to the Civil Authority & with their assistense will 
have the guilty partis brought before the Courts at the next Term 

The Schools are still open & kept by the same teachers as last month except at Berryville
Mr Kiegs has been relieved by Mrs Sarah S Jackson (col'd) who is a very good teacher & will build up a good school.

I have advocated the temperance question and 
recommended the teachers to open temperance meetings & get the freedmen to form a Temperance Society.

The political excitement is getting quite 
exciting in this Division, and trouble may be anticipated during these coming month 
The freedmen are still determined to wether or not
