The schools are in good condition, with a strong and regular attendance as could be expected from the population. there are in every community persons who with every advantage offered them, neglect to avail themselves of such opportunity, and this community is not without its full quota of such, there are quite a number of children who do not attend school and who cannot be induced to do so. their parents and guardians not peremptorily requiring it.

No cases of injustice by the civil authorities has came under my notice during the past month, through such complaints have been made; every person who gets cast in a suit, believing or pretending to believe it to be the result of injustice. 

The state of feeling between the races has not changed in any way, but remains about as usual.
