General,
In compliance with Cir No 6 Series 1866 I have the honor to report that the same intolerant feeling exists towards the freedmen as heretofore reported being perhaps more bitter than before on account of present state of political affairs. The Freedmen are all very busy in haying and harvesting crops which will yield bountifully in this section. Large amounts of wheat & corn have been put in in this division and will turn out well. Quite a number of Freedmen have broken their contracts and gone into the harvest field for higher wages often leaving the employers with any help. This is a matter that can hardly be rectified only by a constant talking to them [[strikethrough]] by [[/strikethrough]] in their meetings.

The School house at Centerville is nearly completed. It will be one of the best in the interior of the state
