In regard to temperance among the Freedmen, I have been unable to detect any departures from the paths of sobriety and good order. No case of drunkeness has ever occurred under my observation nor have I been informed of any such case since I have been stationed here. I have no observations to offer in regard to this matter differing from those submitted in former reports.
