The feeling between the races is not materially changed since last report There is no open hostility but a [[crossed out]][[go]][[/crossed out]] great deal of apathy in regard to the mental and moral improvement of the Freedmen and considerable bitterness on the part of the Whites in a political point of view The able bodied Freedmen are employed and less destitution prevails among the infirm, women and children than during the month previous.
