I have the honor to submit the following Report of Bureau Affairs in this Division for the month of July 1868. 
In obedience to S.O. 82. C.S. H'd Qrs Ass't Com'r Dis. of V'a I proceeded to this Station and on the 24 of July relieved Mr Hall. I find the feeling existing between the races fair much better than that which exists the between the different political parties. 
The moral condition of the Freedpeople though susceptible of much improvement is not discouraging. 
As a general thing Freedmen are industrious and disposed to earn their living. No application for assistance have been made to me. 
No cases of outrages on colored people are reported. On the 25 July at Edinburg a political meeting took place at which I am informed inflamatory speeches were
