In compliance with the [[?]] 6 series of 1866 from your office I have the honor to report for the month of July - said Report being unintentionally omitted on the 31st [[?]] - that during the past few months there has been manifested a disposition on the part of the whites to obtain by coercion, through [[?per-]] consideration, control of certain percent of the colored vote I have no doubt at the [[underline]]next[[/underline]] election in this State thousands of negroes will vote the Democratic ticket.
