I fear that much suffering among the poor without regard to color will ensue during the coming winter, unless rations should again be issued by the Bureau. The corn is at this time nearly exhausted in this Division, and orders given by the overseers of the poor for corn or wheat will not be accepted by those who have grain to sell.

No Temperance societies have as yet been organized in this Division.
