In compliance with Circular No. 6 Series of 1866, I have the honor to report the condition of Bureau Affairs in First Division, Ninth Sub District for the month of October 1868. Viz. 
A continued demand for labor still keeps the Freedmen actively employed, and about the same quantity of what has been sown this year as last. 
The Corn crop, which gave so little promise in July and August, is found to be in this Division about one fourth less than the average of last year, and gives some cause of uneasiness to the colored people, who with large families can scarcely
