General
I have the honor to report in compliance with Cir. No. 6. S. 1866. the general condition of Bureau affairs in the Division as follows.

The adult portion of the Freedmen are generally employed either for a share of the crops or for small wages. The former usually being about 3/8 of the crops, the latter from 6 to 10 dollars per month for males and 3 to 5 for Females.

The Children generally live with their parents and are not so generally employed. Most of those who work for a share of the crops are doing tolerably well and provide for their families without much difficulty, while those who work for wages find it difficult to make their wages support their families.
