Reports in compliance with Circular No 6. series of 1866. Hd Qrs. Asst. Comr. Dist. of Va that the public feeling existing between Whites and blacks is the same as heretofore reported.-
but very little intemperance among the Freedmen in this Div. - Some trouble exists between the Whites & blacks relative to division of crops & The whites are telling the blacks that they, have to pay taxes because they voted &c.
Chas E Bearsley a constable in Spottsylvania is the leading person. in circulating this falsehood.
