Reports in compliance with Circular No. 6. Series of 1866. Hd Qrs. A. C. of Va that the feeling existing between the whites and Blacks is about the same as heretofore reported.

But little intemperance among the Freedmen.

It is reported that Charles E. Bearsley Deputy Sheriff of Spottsylvania County has been telling the Freedmen that they have to pay taxes because they voted.
Anthony Pollard (Colored) entered a complaint before the Grand Jury of Stafford Co. against Mr. Armstrong (White) for an assault upon his (Pollards) wife. Grand Jury failed to indict.- Have instructed Pollard to get a warrant from a Magistrate - which has been issued.
