In [[strikethrough]] u [[/strikethrough]] regard to temperance in this Division I am not aware of any organization in either of the Counties, but the following will show that the colored people are both orderly and temperate. On the 21st inst. there was a republican meeting at Farmville, and there was present between four & five thousand colored persons, in all that vast crowd I did not see one colored man under the influence of liquor, and every thing went off in such a manner that reflects great credit on the colored people of this section of the country. Such is the condition of Bureau affairs in this Division, which I respectfully submit.

I am General
Very Respectfully
