of the School are members of the Baptist Church while the teacher is a Preacher of the M.E. Church and not well calculated to unite the people. He has succeeded by raising a small amount of money by subscription together with money furnished by the Bureau in securing a title of the land and appurtenancies to the M.E. Church subjected to the lease of the Bureau which lease terminates February 1870. This gives dissatisfaction to the Baptist members who subscribed a large part of the money. The only present remedy is for the Bureau to assume control under its lease and procure another teacher giving each party equal privileges therein. Arrangements are being made for a teacher to take charge of the School.

A school has been opened about 15 miles eastwardly from Lunenburg Court House by Mifflin Ginnings (Cold.) but the short time it has been in operation has not enabled me to report upon its prospect.
