practicable- That such advantages will be taken there is no doubt; and notwithstanding the many assertions of justice in the Courts before whom the Freedman is tried, still the fact exists that a distinction on accurinty color is so very evident that it cannot be covered or concealed by expressions to the contrary-

The overseers of the poor express a willingness to care for such cases of suffering as may be brought to their notice, and give their admission to the Poorhouse; but the Freedpeople who may require aid are so ignorant of the means to be employed in obtaining it; and indeed unless outdoor relief is given, they would be unwilling to apply for admission to the County Poor House-

Two additional schools have been started in this division within the month- One in Winchester and the other at Newtown- both were doing well- A vacation of two weeks for the hollidays was given on the 21s inst-
