Her name is Miss Susan C Martin, formerly in charge of the school at Danville, Va. At Alleghany Springs in this County, the freedmen have erected a School House, and expect to obtain a teacher from the Friends Freedmen Association of Philadelphia, as soon as the necessary arrangements can be made They will need some help in the way of rent, towards supporting their School.  Efforts are also being made to re-open the school at Jacksonville
Floyd County, Va., at which place they will also need some assistance, for which they will make application, at an early day. Other matters of the Bureau have received
our undivided attention - and nothing has been left undone, toward promoting the interests of the Freedmen, and enjoining upon them the importance of unity of action, in every good word and work.
