Sir: In reply to your inquiry of the 30th ult you are respectfully informed that the claim of Burrell Bradby (210. 80/100) is on file in this office awaiting the decision of the sec'y of War in cases of claims arising in insurrectionary districts previous to the suppression of the Rebellion.

The facts stated I believe to be true, but I can find nothing in the law or Regulations showing how or from whom the relief asked is to be obtained, if any can be granted. No proceedings for confiscation have been taken but the property has been rented by me for the year 1865.
