Respectfully forwarded to Capt Flagg A.Q.M. etc.
I am not in possession of the inventory taken when the mill was taken by the Gov't, and cannot add anything to the statement of Mr Larke. None of the articles claimed by him are on hand except the carry-logs, and they have been rebuilt several times - I cannot state whether the carry logs in your possession are the ones taken from Wise farm or not, but you have receipted for all on hand to Capt Brown. Mr Larke is a Gentleman worthy of confidence, but I do not think it possible to identify any of the property within named, after its use by the Gov't for over three years.
