Respectfully returned to Capt A.S. Flagg who will carry out the instructions contained in the following extract of a letter sent him Nov 5th 1865 from this office. In cases where property has been abandoned you will do well to apply the same rule that is- in cases where the parties are not embraced among the excepted classes of the Presidents proclamation of the 29th of May. You will allow them the rent of the property from the date of the oath taken by them under said proclamation."
Mr King has been notified of this action.
