This property was sent to Fort Monroe Va under orders of Maj Genl Dix who commanded the Dept at the time it was Seized.
I learn that it had since been turned over to the Treasury Agent.
I think the property would be better cared for if turned over to Mrs Wise in trust (if it cannot be restored to her) than it now is.
I would therefore respectfully approve the application
