In the case of Randolph Boldin vs Joseph Debtor, the Asst Comr desires to know if the Plaintiffs in this case were colored, and, if so, he wants such an explanation of the facts will enable him to know if it was right that the Plaintiff pay damages and the Def't pay costs.

$" Dist Va. who will cause this matter to be investigated. Hardenia Hopes (cold) claims that the horse was given her by some of Genl Grants Army at the time it passed through that county.

Richard Blanton a citizen has taken the horse away from her claiming that she has no right to him.
