Respty returned to Capt A. S. Flagg Supt &c. Case investigated. To build anew a house equal to the one in question, in its best days would cost about $500. to repair the present on $150. would be adequate. The evidence leads to the belief that the damage was done by soldiers. The woman is again married to a worthy and well to do citizen. She is loyal.

Respty returned to Col O Brown to call on Capt Flagg for a report as to whether he receipted for these funds. if so, the amounts received the names of parties who paid up, and the final disposition of the money.
From the statement of Capt Wilder it would appear that Capt Flagg receipted for the money in question. Col Brown will please ascertain whether the negroes hold receipts for the money advanced by them. unless some specific evidence of indebtedness is formed and presented. it is not seen how the Bureau can be called on to pay these claims.
