Respty returned to Col Woodhull A.A.G. I have nothing on paper concerning the Horse. But whilst Col Stinson was in N.C. he inquired concerning it and was told that the horse had disappeared - that Genl Custar himself had said that he had turned the horse over to the Qr Mr's Dept and knew nothing more about it. The transaction was a mysterious one and Col. S. was of the opinion from all he could gather that the horse was hidden in New Orleans.
