Respty returned. From careful inquiry and investigation I am satisfied of the truth of the within statement. The confiscation sale of this property was a fraud on the government in that certain parties at the time of sale urged that a destitute widow wished to buy it, said Mrs Mallory, being the former owner, and at said time by no means destitute. Thus this property sold for almost nothing.
