Winchester, Va., Nov. 15th 1865

In accordance with S.O. 98. P. II from Hd. Qrs. Asst. Com'r. State of Va, Bu. R. F & A. L. dated Richmond, Va. Nov 11 1865, I hereby turn over to Dr. J. B. Johnson the brick dwelling house located in Harpers Ferry Va held by the Bureau as abandoned land.

I, Dr. J.B. Johnson of Harpers Ferry, Va, do hereby acknowledge that I have this day received of Capt W. Storer How A.Q.M. & Supt. Bu. R.F. & A.L. in the Sixth Dist. Va, the brick dwelling house located in Harpers Ferry, Va., the said brick dwelling house being my own property and I also hereby assent and agree to the conditions of the order under which this property is restored to me.
