petitioner, therefore, prays that the same may be restored to him. He files here with the deed to John R. Knewstep for the house and lot, the will of said Knewstep to the said Mary Knewstep his widow, and the affidavit of of Allen Howard of the marriage [[?]] petitioner with her. He also files a copy of the Amnesty Oath under the Presidents proclamation of the 29th May 1865, and his affidavit that his case is not embraced in any one of the exceptions therein contained.
