Corporation of the city of Norfolk & State of Va. To wit

This day personally appeared before me Geo Blow Jr a Notary Public in and for the Corporation and State aforsaid Eliza W. Blacknall who having been first duly sworn deposeth & says as follows.

"I am the Grand Daughter of George Blow Sr. The owner of the property referred to in the accompanying Petition, and am twenty years of age. And have resided in the house with my Grandfather since the commencement of the war. In the spring of 1862, my mother and sisters accompanied him to his Farm in Sussex County, Va. Where He has remained ever since. From age and infirmity he has been for years past incapable of attending to any business and is rarely able to leave the House. I am confident that he has not left the farm more Than two or Three times during the war. He has had nothing to do with the Rebellion, and could not, if even so disposed, from phisical infirmity, Have rendered it aid - and further this Deponent sayeth not.
E.W. Blackenall.

Subscribed & sworn to before me a Notary Public as aforsaid this 6th day of September 1865.
