State of Virginia, City of Portsmouth, to wit:

I Dempsey Nash Clerk of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth in the State of Virginia aforesaid do hereby certify that the lot of land with its appurtenances situate in that part of the City of Portsmouth called Gosport in the South side of Henry 121 1/2 feet West from the South West corner of Second and Henry Street- 23 1/2 feet front and running back in parallel lines 121 feet is the property of Thomas Carr.

In testimony thereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said Court this 20 day of September 1865 in the 90th Year of the Commonwealth.
