Colonel:
James Chieves of Petersburg, Va, having received the special pardon of the President of the United States, you are hereby directed to restore, so far as the jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property owned by him which is now held by you as abandoned property.

Said property is reported to consist of houses and lots in the city of Petersburg, Va. and plantations in  Prince George and Nansemont Counties, Vrginia.

Said property is to be restored subject to the requirments of Circular No. 3 current series from
