Dear Sir
   Your petitioner a loyal resident of the State of Virginia represents that in the early part of the year 1864 a farm in Holland Swamp Princess Anne County Va (which was devised to her and her children by the will of her father Henry Cornick Jr decd) was taken possession of by the Freedmens Bureau and has since that time been rented out by its agent. Your petitioner further represents that her estate of every description is of less value than $20,000.00 (that her children are as yet of very tender years) and that she has taken the oath prescribed by his Excellency President Johnson, a certified copy of which is herewith filed; under these circumstances your petitioner prays that said farm may be restored to her at the end of the present year as she is informed the lease will then expire.
