Abstract from Mary Constable's Will admitted to probat on the 24th day of July 1854 in the Clerks Office of the Court of the Corporation of the City of Norfolk.

I give devise and bequeath unto my Executor hereinafter named in trust for the use and benefit of my son Charles W. Constable during his life the house and lot I now occupy at the corner of Queen and Amelia Streets and negro woman Frances and her child John Henry the rents and hires of which said house and lot & negroes are to be applied by the said Executor to the use and benefit of said Charles. W. Constable during his life and after his death I give the said house and lot and said negroes and their increase to my son Thos F. Constable and Henry B. Constable equally to be divided among them.

I hereby nominate and appoint William. W. Lamb executor to this my said Will and ask as a mark of favour to me to accept the trust I have taken the liberty of confiding to him and ask the Court of the Corporation of the City of Norfolk to permit him to do so without security. In Witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal this 8th day of June 1854.
