York County to wit.
This date William B. Jones who was clerk of the County Court of the County of Warwick for many years before the inauguration of the war [[strikethrough]]personally [[/strikethrough]] & at the time of its breaking out, personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in & for the County of York & State of Virginia and made oath, that the records of said court, conveying the title to real estate in said county shewed the said William C. Crafford dec'd by deeds of record in said Court to be the owner of the land described in the foregoing application.
