AMNESTY OATH.

Office of Asst. Provost Marzhal,
Danville Va., Nov 1st 1885.

I, Mrs. E R Curtis, do solemnly swear, (or affirm,) in the presence of ALMIGHTY GOD, that I will hence-forth faithfully support, protect and defend the Constitution of the Uni-ted States and the Union of the States thereunder, and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all laws and proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves. So HELP ME GOD.

I DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That on the 1st of Nov 1865, at Danville, Va. the Oath prescribed by the President of the United States, in his procla-mation of May 29th 1865, was duly taken, subscribed and made matter of record by Mrs. E.R. Curtis, of Warwek Co Va.
