This deed made the 12th day of September in the year eighteen hundred and fifty one between Archibold S. Lewis of the one part and John Dunderdale of the other part. Witnesseth that in consideration of fourteen hundred dollars paid by the said Dunderdale to the said Lewis the receipt where is herby acknowledged the said Archibold S. Lewis doth grant unto the said John Dunderdale all of that lot of land (with its houses and appurtenances) situated on the North side of South Street in the Town of Portsmouth and bounded as follows. To Wit beginning two hundred and ten feet east from the north east intersection of South and Effingham Streets and running east on the north side of South street forty feet. Thence north one hundred and thirteen feet thence west forty feet. Thence south one hundred and thirteen feet to the beginning on South Street being the same property conveyed to the said Archibold S. Lewis by two several deeds of Danl J. Williams and Mary Ann his wife the one dated the 24th of June 1843 and the other the 9th of February 1846 and duly recorded in the Clerks office of Norfolk County Court.

In the Clerks Office of Norfolk County Court the 12th day of September 1857. This deed was acknowledged by A.S. Lewis a party thereto and admitted to record.
