This Deed made this 13th day of September eighteen hundred and fifty eight between Samuel C. Elliot of the one part and George Groner of the other part of the City of Norfolk. Witnesseth that the said Samuel C. Elliott doth grant unto the said George Groner trustee for the purpose hereinafter named all that certain lot of land and appurtenances situated on the East side of Fenn Church Street in the City of Norfolk and bounded as follows that is to say. Beginning at the line of Causse on said Street and running thereon South fifty six feet to the line of Hester, thence with his line East eighty four feet. thence North fifty six feet to the line of Cause and thence with line of Cause. West eighty four feet to the place of beginning: In trust however that the said George Groner shall permit Agnes H. Elliott wife of the said Samuel C. Elliott to occupy and enjoy the said lot of land and appurtenances during her life for her own separate use and benefit free from control and exempt from the debts and liabilities of the said Samuel C. Elliot and after her death. The said Samuel C. Elliot surviving that the said George Groner shall reconvey the said lot of land and appurtenances to the said Samuel C. Elliott in feel simple but in case of his death at that time the said George Groner shall convey the same in fee simple to such child or children of the said Samuel C. Elliott and the said Agnes H. Elliott including the grand children if any as may be alive at the time. And upon the further trust that if the said Agnes H. Elliott shall elect so to do and that desire shall be made known to the said George Groner by any instrument of writing under her hand attested by one or more witnesses that it shall be the duty of the said George Groner to make sale of the said lot of land and appurtenances either at public or
