Maria his wife to him, And the said John S Millson for himself his heirs and assigns, doth hereby warrant and defend the said lot of land, and appurtenances, to the said Richard Evans his heirs and assigns against the claim of him the said John & Millson and any and all persons claiming title by or under him but against no other persons or persons whatsoever, In testimony whereof the said parties have hereto Set their hands and seals the said twenty first day of May 1840

I Henry M Bowden Clerk of the Court of the Corporation of the City of Norfolk State aforesaid do certify that, there is a Deed of Gift for the above specified proper from Richard Evans to Jane Maria Evans his wife dated 12th day of August 1862 and admitted to record in this Office on 11th day of September 1862 And i further more certify that no substantial transfer of said property by Richard Evans or by Jane Maria Evans his wife appears of Record in this Office, In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of said Court this 11th day of November 1866 in the 90th year of the Commonwealth
