Oath of Amnesty - 

J, William F. Fitchett of Northampton County, in the state of Virginia, do solemnly swear in the presence of Almighty-God, that I will henceforth faithfully support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder and that I will in like manner abide by and faithfully support all laws and Proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves, so help me God.

Sworn to and subscribed before me, a justice of the peace in and for the county of Northampton in the State of Virginia, this 22nd day of December AD 1865

The affidavit of Louis P. Rogers and James E. Heath, of lawful age.
These affiants having been first duly sworn on the Evangelists of Almighty God, affirm and say that they are well acquainted with William F. Fitchett of Northampton County, Virginia, and they verily believe he does not come under any of the excepted clauses named in the Amnesty Proclamation of the President of the United States, of the 29th day of May 1865, and
