The undersigned respectfully represents to you that he is the owner of a farm situate & lying in Warwick County, containing about two hundred and fifty acres a portion of the open land having been cultivated the present year by three freedmen not residing on the land, there being no building on it of any description. The undersigned represents to you that he never lived on said farm, but tenanted it out from year to year, and was left by the tenant, when General McClelland advanced up the peninsula because of its location being between the Union & Confederate armies.

The undersigned would state, that he has taken the oath necessary for the restitution of property, & respectfully asks, that his farm above named, be restored to his possession, with the rents accrued thereon during the present year.
