To Col O. Brown. Commissioner for Virginia.

Your petitioner John A Green of the County of Warwick, would respectfully submit, that by virtue of Special Orders No 53. Bureau R. F & A. L. Head Quarters Richmond Sept 12th 1865. his land property was restored to William G. Young his guardian. That said William G. Young has given your petitioner a full and absolute power of attorney in reference to said property: your petitioner would respectfully represent that he has taken and subscribed the oath as prescribed in the Amnesty Proclamation of 29th May - and he would further state that there are many things of a personal character belonging to your petitioner scattered among various parties in the counties of Warwick and York. to which paid parties have no right or claim whatsoever - the said property never having been sold or in any ways disposed of by the Government - In consideration of the premises, your petitioner would most respectfully ask that said property may be restored to him. & also that he may permitted to collect and secure the rents accruing there upon his said land.
