State of North Carolina
County of Granville. to wit.

On this the 9th day of January 1866, personally appeared before me the undersigned a [[strikethrough]] Justice of the Peace in and for the Court aforesaid [[/strikethrough]] Judge of the Superior Court of Law & Equity in the state aforesaid William Thos Hardy, and James R. Worrell, who, being by me first duly sworn, depose and say, that they have read the President's proclamation of the 29th day of May 1865, and that the Cases of the said deponents are not embraced in any one of the exceptions therein contained, as they verily believe.
