The undersigned respectfully represent that they are the owners of the houses and lot, situated at the corner of Freemason  & Boush streets in this city having heired from their mother Mrs. Rebecca M. Worrell who died in 1866.

This property has never been abandoned, or deserted. After the death of our father, Mr. R. A. Worrell, which occurred in the spring of 1861 - it was placed in the hands of Mr Wm. J. Hardy, as our agent, and was rented by him to Mr J. Parker Jordan, who occupied it until the spring of 1864, when he was compelled to vacate it by order of Genl. Wild.

It may be proper to state that the undersigned Wm. Thos Hardy, and Theodosia C Goodwin from Norfolk to Granville Co. N. C. in the spring of 1859.

Handing herewith all the papers required, viz, proof of title, copies of Amnesty Oath, clerk's certificate, oath that the undersigned are not embraced in the exceptions made in the President's Proclamation. They therefore ask that this house and lot be restored to them or to the control of their agent Mr. Wm. J Hardy for their benefit, at the earliest day practicable.
