This Deed made this 14th day of December Eighteen hundred and sixty one between Benjamin T. Bockover and Sarah Elizabeth his wife, of the City of Norfolk, of the one part and J. Hardy Hendren, of the said City, of the other part witnesseth. That the said Benjamin T. Bockover and Sarah Elizabeth his wife, in consideration of the sum of two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do herby grand unto the said J. Hardy Hendren with general warranty, that lot of land with the appurtenances, situated on the West Side of Brewer street in the said City, which was sold and Conveyed to the said Benjamin T. Bockover by John W. Thomas Special Commissioner under a decree of the Circuit Court of said City, made in the suit of Benjamin T. Bockover plaintiff against Mary E Pumphrey, William A. Pumphrey, Samuel Pumphrey, and Martha Ann Pumphery defendants, [[?]] deed dated the 12th day of November 1856, and described in said decree & proceedings as follows, "beginning twenty eight feet from Miles Davis' line (now Lands) on Brewer street, and running on said street twenty five feet south, thence West two hundred and thirty six feet more or less to the marsh, thence North twenty five feet to the line of John Banks, thence East two hundred and thirty six feet more or less to the place of beginning.
