Princess Anne County Court Clerk's Office
March 12th 1866. }

I, John J. Burroughs clerk of the County Court of Princess Anne Do certify that John L. Hinton is entitled to a Tract of land situated in said County near London Bridge called, The "Walke Farm," containing Three hundred and sixty nine acres one rood and one pole of land; that said Hinton purchased said Land on the 6th October 1856, of Lewis D. Crenshaw Commissioner to sell the lands of John Petty decd as appears by his deed of that date, and I also certify that since the recording of said Deed, there has been no conveyance from said Hinton to anyone of record, and I verily believe he is entitled to said land._ Given under my hand the day and date above mentioned. (I have no seal of office as yet, the one I had was forcibly taken away by federal soldiers).
