PROVOST COURT,
Department of Virginia and North Carolina,
Dec. 14th 1864

It appearing to me that William H.S. Holcroft is entitled to the possession of a lot of land in Hampton bounded and described, as follows

On the South by the main road leading out of Hampton 389 feet
On the East by residue of lot purchased by John L. Peck, of J.B. Sinclair (This being a part of same)
On the North by land of J.B. Sinclair 383 1/2 feet. 
On the West by Henry W. Bohonon's lot,
and being the part of a lot bought of J.B. Sinclair & wife by John L. Peck, and which part was conveyed by said Peck to said Holcroft by his deed dated September 18th. 1857

It is ordered that said Holcroft have and hold possession of said lot of land undisturbed by any person unless acting under a decree of some Court having jurisdiction of the premises.  Said Holcroft allowing occupants one month to remove their improvements
