of Johnson about the 27th April 1863- soon after which your petitioner returned home. Your petitioner further states that the said farm is in the occupancy of one Peter Savage. Who rents the same finn the Goot and who cannot deliver up the same to him without authority from the Goot which your petitioner pray may be ordered.
Your petitioner in conclusion says that he has taken the oath prescribed by the President of the United States in his proclamation of the 29th of May 1865- which he will keep and observe in good faith, with all laws made for his Government as a good and loyal Citizen of the United States. and asks that he may be restored to all his rights and privileges as such.
