Sir,
   I beg leave to attract your attention to the endorsed papers and to ask you to order the restoration of the property-- a lot in Hampton without a house on it -- to which they show I am entitled.
   Paper A.  shows that no proceeds have been instituted against me in the U.S. Court;
   Paper B, shows I have taken the oath ordered by Prest. Johnson; and I here add that, I took that prescribed by the late Prest Lincoln on the 24th May ulto.
   Paper C, shows me to be the sole representative and heir of the late owner.
   Paper D. Establishes the title.
I am not included in any of the exceptions from amnesty set forth in the Prest Proclamation and upon these grounds I base my request.
   This the custom, I am informed, to set forth in petitions a brief statement of the antecedents of the applicant, in conformity with which I have to say that, I was Commonwealth Atty.
