Being exceedingly anxious to get possession of my property now held by your Bureau, I wish to avail myself of the Benefits of General Orders No 19, issued by your Sept 16th 1865, and in pursuance of same, do herewith enclose & forward the necessary Certificates &c

Although I had no connection whatever with the rebellion - save as a spectator and therefore not requiring special pardon, yet to make matters more certain, have forwarded my application to the President, favorably endorsed by our Governor & am now daily expecting to receive the pardon.

No action has been had against any of my property except my dwelling house, No 80 Main St, which was condensed by decree of Court Dec 10th 1864. I am
