In the name of God amen. I Mary A. Jones being of sound mind, do make this my last will and testament. Items 1st. I bequeath to my two Grand children John and Charles Crawford the following property. viz my tract of land known by the name of Morrisons Farm. Item 2nd I give to my Grandson Charles Crafford my watch and I give to my Grandson John Crafford one hundred dollars to buy a watch. Item 3rd I give to them one half of the negroes that have left me during the war, and one half of the increase of the same until they are recovered and divided. Item 4th If I don't get the negroes, but get money or property in place of them in that event. I give them one half of whatever I may get. Item 5th If the Government ever pay me or my executors any damages for stock, such as sheep hogs etc. I bequeath the same to my two Grandsons. Item 6th I direct my horses and my negro man Billy to be sold, and the proceeds of which with what bonds or money I may leave I direct to be appropriated to the payment of all my first and lawful debts and the remainder of the same after the payment of my aforesaid debits, I bequeath to my two Grandsons John and Charles Crafford. Item 7th I bequeath to my son. Henry F. Jones all the balance of my real estate I now own, and the following negroes Margaret, Sam Phillis and Eddy, also and silver spoons and one half of the negros that have left me during the war, together with one half of the increase of the same until they are recovered and divided. Item 8th If I do not get the negroes, but get money or property in place of them I give him one half of whatever it may be. Item 9th I appoint as my executors (without security) my son in law William C Crafford and my son Henry F Jones. Given under my hand and seal this 23 day of August-1862
